A downloadable game for Windows

Welcome to the Caretaker Hotel

You can't recall going through the receptionist, but you do already have your room key in hand. Maybe you’ll find your lodging on another floor.

This project was created for a class assignment. This is my first attempt at doing anything like this. So, if you experience any problems or bugs. Please let me know. Also, if you have any ideas, suggestions, or other comments. Please feel free to send me any and all constructive criticism.

DISCLAIMER

This game was created out of inspiration from the music album

Everywhere At The End Of Time

created by Leyland James Kirby.

Along with the cover art from Ivan Seal.

The media in the game is transformative and uses no more of the original content than needed.

The intention of this game is to give an interpretation of the same topic covered by the previously mentioned album. All respect goes to the original creators.

If you haven't already. I highly recommend you experience “Everywhere At The End Of Time” for yourself. It’s an incredible listen.

Hello, is it possible to play this on a Quest 3? I've tried to download this on to my comp and than load into sidequest but it did not load

Was this influenced/based at all on The Caretaker VR? Its very similar in composure and form! That said, I've not had a game make me feel the nope like this in a while. If thise came to Xbox as an indie darling, you'd have a cult following on your hands.

thanks! I'm glad you think so. My top priority was to remain faithful to the source material. It's such an incredible album. When making the game I had to do it justice.

Thanks so much for your feedback and gameplay! It was very entertaining and educational to watch. I'm very suprized with your interpretation at the end. You really hit the nail on the head.

Appreciate it, it's not too incredibly convoluted, but that's good at least cause then people can assume right without having to be crazy, like trying to understand Hideo Kojima story lines.

Pretty interesting game.I wasn't always sure what was going on but it was still a fun experience. I went with the Face The Music ending this round. Thanks!

Thank you so much for playing! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game. Your playthrough showed me a lot of things I can improve on. Also, the hotel was loosely inspired by The Shining. I watched the movie for the 3rd time while making the game. The poster of the ballroom was actually taken from “The Gold Room” sign as a little reference.

could you make a version for mac?

Yes. I am currently trying to figure that out. But from what I found I need a mac to package the game for IOS. And sadly, I don’t have one. Will let you know if I find a solution
